For nearly five decades, Rick Stassi has helped project teams turn complex scheduling information into meaningful insights they can use to anticipate risk and make more informed decisions.

Now, the Kitchell CEM Scheduling Manager has been named a Fellow of the Project Management College of Scheduling (PMCOS), an invitation-only, peer-nominated distinction recognizing significant contributions to project planning, scheduling and project controls.

Stassi joins approximately 85 PMCOS Fellows worldwide. The group brings together experienced professionals who help advance scheduling practices through industry education, mentorship and professional collaboration.

With more than 48 years of experience, Stassi specializes in earned value management, a project controls methodology that integrates scope, schedule and cost information to provide a more complete picture of project performance. At Kitchell CEM, he helps project teams and clients use that information to identify trends, understand risk and respond proactively to potential challenges.

“Rick brings an exceptional depth of knowledge to our project controls practice, but what truly distinguishes him is his ability to turn complex information into meaningful guidance for project teams and clients,” said Rafael Martin, Executive Director of Technical Support Services at Kitchell. “This recognition reflects not only his technical expertise, but also his commitment to developing others and advancing the scheduling profession.”

That commitment extends well beyond Rick’s project work. He provides scheduling education and mentorship to Kitchell employees, clients, students and other industry professionals. His recent engagements include presenting on earned value management at a PMCOS conference and discussing earned value, artificial intelligence and the future of scheduling on the X4 Talks podcast. He has also shared his expertise with students at City College of San Francisco and through training with the Construction Management Association of America.
