hardison/downey Supervisor Eric Williams shares some of the construction details surrounding the ASU West dining facility project, which is scheduled to open this fall semester. Unique aspects of the project such as getting the jumbo bricks used in the dining area to match the existing police building and moving the Jamba Juice outlet on campus into the new facility. “Probably the biggest challenge though is building in the midst of an operational school and keeping everyone coordinated safely,” says Williams.

hardison/downey discovers hawk’s nest during ASU dorm renovation

The hardison/downey team working on renovations at Manzanita Hall on the Arizona State University campus recently found a visitor living on the 9th floor of the tower.

A hawk’s nest containing three eggs was discovered during exterior skin demolition.  Because the hawk is a federally protected species, the Arizona Game and Fish Department got involved, and a professional was brought in to remove the eggs.
