Leaders from Solano Community College, the City of Vallejo and local businesses will officially unveil the college’s new Auto Tech Center. The college worked with the property owner and city to transform a vacant car dealership into a skills lab to teach students how to service and repair engines, transmissions, electronics, and hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles. The 16,000-square-foot building includes classroom spaces and 11 work stations outfitted with vehicle lifts, diagnostic equipment, and tools.
Kitchell has been providing Program and Project Management services for Solano Community College for a series of small capital improvement projects, including the renovation of the Auto Tech Center.
